JRHE: Journal of Research Horizons in Education is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by PT. Horizon Edukasi. JRHE advances educational knowledge by publishing rigorous, interdisciplinary, and futures-oriented scholarship that bridges the learning sciences, the social sciences, the humanities, and computational/engineering perspectives.

The journal welcomes both theoretical and practice-based contributions on curriculum and pedagogical transformation; educational technology and emerging media (including AI, learning analytics, XR/VR/AR, and human–AI collaboration); digital citizenship, safety, and well-being; assessment, measurement, and psychometrics; leadership, policy, and governance; the sociology of education, culture, and media; equity, inclusion, and sustainability; student well-being and child protection; as well as methodology and evidence synthesis (systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and mixed-methods designs).

JRHE spans K–12, higher education, non-formal education, and lifelong learning across diverse global contexts, with a strong emphasis on futures thinking—futures literacy, scenario planning, horizon scanning, and anticipatory governance—to connect theory with actionable practice. All manuscripts undergo an initial desk screening for relevance and integrity, followed by double-anonymized peer review by at least two experts.

The journal adheres to recognized publication ethics (COPE), promotes data and materials transparency, and supports Open Science practices (including preregistration and registered reports where appropriate). We publish research articles, review articles, methodological papers, brief research reports, replication studies, policy and practice briefs, and commentaries. Articles appear online first, with a timely and communicative editorial process.

Content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license to maximize access and responsible reuse; fee-waiver schemes are available for authors from low- and middle-income countries. Supported by a distinguished editorial board and broad interdisciplinary coverage, JRHE targets researchers, practitioners, and policymakers who require rigorous, practice-relevant evidence.
